Leak repair only, proved with a hose
We repair roof leaks on houses and multi-family buildings across Elizabeth: Elmora Hills, Westminster, Peterstown, Elizabethport, Bayway, the North End and the streets between them. Finding the leak is the job, and we do not sell a new roof on the back of a wet ceiling.
Our method is the oldest one there is. One person wets the roof with a garden hose, a few feet at a time from the bottom edge up, while another watches the ceiling or the attic. When the drip returns, the section that was wet is where the water gets in. You see it, we photograph it, and the written quote names it.
Some leaks will not come back on a dry day: ice dams, water pushed sideways by a strong wind, a roof that is frozen. When that is the case we say so, and the quote says what we found and what we could not prove.
- No price given until the leak has been reproduced or ruled out
- No permanent repair attempted on a wet or frozen roof
- The same section tested again after every repair
- Told plainly when another patch is the worse buy

Four steps, no surprises
The drip brought back with a hose while you watch, then a written quote for that spot before any work.
Call and describe the drip
Where the stain is, which floor, and whether it shows in every rain or only in wind. On a two- or three-family house, which unit sees it first.
Make it leak again
One person wets the roof a section at a time from the lowest edge up; another stays under the stain or in the attic.
Written quote for the spot you saw
The section that brought the drip back is photographed and priced in writing before any work.
Repair, then the hose again
Once the repair is done the same section is wetted again with someone watching inside. A dry ceiling under that test is the end of the job.
Four questions worth asking on any leak quote
Including ours. Quotes for one leak can be very far apart, and the gap is usually about what each roofer thinks is leaking.
Was the leak reproduced
Ask whether anyone brought the drip back with water, or whether the quote is built on where the stain is.
Does it name one spot
'Repair roof' is not a scope. 'Reseal the left cheek of the rear dormer and replace one vent boot' is, and it can be checked when the work is done.
Is the registration on it
New Jersey registers home improvement contractors. The number belongs on the quote, and the Division of Consumer Affairs can confirm it.
Will they test it afterward
The same section wetted again after the repair, with someone inside, is the simplest proof the leak is gone.
